How is the compulsory licensing to operate a motor vehicle a violation of Amendment IV? The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated...
Is Wyllie claiming mandatory vehicular licensing is a "violation of his right to be secure in his person?"
He was saying that the DMV's demand that he submit various documents in order to renew his driver's license, as per the "REAL ID" Act of 2005, would have required him to waive his Fourth Amendment rights in order to comply.
